George Berry spent the most prominent part of his career at Wolverhampton Wanderers, making over 200 appearances for the club during a decade-long spell. Known for his powerful defending and distinctive, larger-than-life presence, he became an instant cult hero with the Wolves faithful at Molineux. He was an integral part of the team that won the 1980 League Cup final against Nottingham Forest, a famous victory that highlights his commitment to the club’s success. His passion and hard work cemented his status as a popular figure during the late 70s and early 80s.
