Villa Park
With a capacity of over 42,000 seats, Villa Park is an absolute monster of a ground. Great colours and a proper old English feel to it.
You can’t talk about Villa Park without mentioning the Holte End and Stairs, designed by the legendary boss of British Stadium design, Archibald Leitch. Those stairs are iconic.
However, that’s not what I’ve decided to concentrate on. I’ve gone for an unexpected angle of the Doug Ellis Stand. Totally different from the Holte End but, for me at least, no less wonderful.
I love it when a stadium manages to have stands from different eras sitting side by side.
