Ibrox Stadium - An Archibald Leitch masterpiece
Archibald Leitch had a hand in creating some of the UK’s most instantly recognisable Stadiums. Fulham’s Craven Cottage and Aston Villa’s Villa park are two that quickly jump to mind.
But I think the ground that stands out more than any of them is Ibrox Stadium in Glasgow, home to Glasgow Rangers FC. There is absolutely no mistaking which ground you are at when you see those red bricks.
When I started to put together a design for a Rangers football poster I knew it was going to feature the facade of the main stand. But it couldn’t only include the main stand as Ibrox stadium has other unique features that I had to get into this piece of Rangers wall art. The statue of legendary captain John Greig and the Ibrox gates. If you’ve watched just 10 minutes of Sky Sports News you’ll recognise the gates. It’s their go-to place when it comes to reporting news coming from Rangers FC.
I went with a no-frills sky/background for this Football Stadium Print design. I think this football stadium deserves at least that.
