Celtic FC’s ground goes by many names and all of them are known to football fans the world over.
Celtic FC are a world famous club with fans in every corner of the earth. When I started the Football Stadium Print project I wondered if it was even worth my while trying to create a Celtic FC art print. There are thousands of people out there trying to create Celtic FC poster designs. Surely I’ll just get lost in all the noise.
But, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to come up with something for the biggest club stadium in Scotland, the current SPFL Champions and the first British club to win the European Cup (1967). And it’s with those immortal Lisbon Lions and Jock Stein that I finally landed. I actually ended up with two designs, the Lisbon Lions Stand and the statue of Jock Stein holding the European Cup.
