New Douglas Park – Hamilton Academical
Hamilton WFC currently share New Douglas Park with the men’s team. Hamilton make good use of the artificial surface in order that they can generate as much revenue out of it as possible (wait, this isn’t a page about economics. Get on with it).
Hamilton WFC started out in 1999 as Hamilton Athletic LFC when they joined the Scottish Women’s Football League. They didn’t waste any time in getting into the Scottish Women’s Premier League as they marched on to 3 successive promotions.
During that time they changed their name to FC Hamilton for a season before finally landing on their current name of Hamilton Academicals WFC.
It would be absolutely amazing if you could share this with as many people as possible.
Thank you.
