Meadow Lane – Notts County
You may not know this, as it’s not a very well known fact, but Notts County are the world’s oldest football league club.
Yeah, ok, you definitely did know that already. The club and fans, rightly, are pretty proud of the fact that they were formed all the way back in 1862. As of writing, 1862 was a colossal 157 years ago.
Meadow Lane makes up a trifecta of sporting arenas in Nottingham sitting a stones throw away across the River Trent from their neighbours and rivals Nottingham Forest, as well as Trent Bridge Cricket Ground, a slightly longer stones throw away (although they are both technically in West Bridgford).
It would be absolutely amazing if you could share this with as many people as possible.
Thank you.
